In this post, I have to explain (in my own words) what a blog is, and then inform you all how I will use my blog (in case the title wasnt' a dead give-away)
a Blog is basically a journal, except plastered all over the internet for everyone to see. Its somewhere where people can express their feelings on certain topics to the world (like what they ate for breakfast... eggs on muffins). Another use for blogs is showing off photos or artwork that someone has created. A few webcomic artists keep blogs with their personal artwork (non-comic related) in the blog. Viewers can comment on your blog posts too, which lets them feel included in your writings, and lets you get some feedback, as well as showing that others are reading your words.
I was meant to check out Wikipedia for information on blogs to do that last section. I figured doing that wouldn't really be my own words, so I didn't use it much, but here's a link to its page on blogs anyway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog).
My blog is set up on Blogger, I just have to log in and create a new post whenever I wish to add something. Its relatively easy, and like forum posting. I'll be using it in conjunction with my WebCT course from BNIT - Ithaca.
I think thats all. 'till next time!

BL1 > Part 1: CUFADM02A Posting: About Me
So, I have to write a blog article about myself. I'm Lachlan Moore, and right now am 20 years old. I've lived in Brisbane all my life. Completed year 12 at Toowong College, and then went on to finish a Diploma of Software Development (Games) at Brisbane Institute of Tafe - Ithaca Campus. Am currently doing an Advanced Diploma of Special Effects at the same Tafe campus.
At the moment i'm working at an IFS Service Station. The pay is good, so i'm happy. I want to eventually get into a job doing CGI stuff, hopefully for games, but possibly in Film/TV as well. So yeah, 3d modelling is a hobby that I hope to make a job out of. Am also a Gamer, and host & co-create a webcomic with Luke Humphres, a friend of mine and also a student in the same courses as myself. Comic can be found at www.drunken-comics.com. Its been on hold recently, but will hopefully get some new comics soon.
Other than that, I also enjoy movies, music, doin stuff, sleeping, killing mimes... the usual. In fact, just the other day I killed this one mime, he mimed a call to the police, mime phone and all! it was hilarious!
anyway, hope that'll do for my first blog.

(Note: Lachlan Moore does not condone the killing and/or maiming of mimes. Any and all information regarding to the aforementioned killing of said person/s is completely fictional. If you did happen to believe said "Mime Killing" then please feel free to run full-pelt into a brick wall. Thankyou)
